The emergency department specialises in providing the necessary diagnosis and treatment to restore or support  vital functions, trauma treatment, resuscitation and other major surgery if the required equipment is available. The emergency department and its reception rely on skilled physicians, paramedics and staff to provide the best possible assistance.

The Emergency Department includes the following facilities:


A. Emergency area

The emergency area has the following rooms:
  • Access room (covered, warm area for the access of cars and pedestrians);
  • Triage room (assignment of a chief complaint);
  • Urgency-Emergency room;
  • A room for medical visits;
  • A room for surgical visits;
  • Waiting room for ambulant patients;
  • Waiting room for non-ambulant patients;

B. Intensive Care area

The Emergency and Accident Department may cooperate with the Intensive Care Unit, if required.

C. Operating Room

Our three Operating Rooms are used for patients coming from The Emergency and Accident Department and are divided into three areas:
  • Heart, thoracic and vascular area
  • Neurosurgery
  • Other surgery specialties
