Cardiac Arrythmia Centre

Director of centre Dr. Giuseppe Gallone

The  Cardiac Arrythmia Centre at  Policlinico di Monza is dedicated to treating patients with:
  • Palpitations of unknown origins
  • Lypothymia or syncope
  • Documented tachycardia
  • Documented bradycardia
  • Atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter (intermittent or permanent)
  • Hypo or hyperkinetic arrythmias.

We provide patient suffering from irregular heartbeat (arrythmia) with diagnostic procedures that include:
  • Scrupulous patient medical history
  • ECG at rest: is a diagnostic method in the event of bradycardia, sino-atrial block, atrioventricular block, bundle branch block, Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, etc.
  • ECG Holter system: is a test performed in the diagnosis of bradycardia, tachycardia, paroxysmal atrioventricular block, heartbeat anomalies, etc.
  • Trans-phone ECG: patients can record their own ECG, when symptoms occur, by using a small portable device that transmits the data to the centre when placed on the phone. This method is particularly suitable for those patients with sporadic symptoms that could hardly be recorded in 24 hours with Holter system.
  • Ergometric test: performed when symptoms occur after physical exercise or emotional stress;
  • Loop recorder implant
  • Electrophysiology study
